The first inaugural exhibition exceeded expectations of exhibitors and met their objectives. 98% said that they would recommend The Green Living Show & NZ Organic Expo to others. 6,000 qualified visitors, the age group of those attended ranged from university age students to middle age. Visitors came to the show to learn about toxin free products, they wanted certified organic products, to find out more about eco build, how to save energy, how to have a healthier home, to learn about what other eco & natural products were available for their homes, how to save their planet and what action they could take. Visitors were overwhelmed with the show and many said the same thing “there is a good feeling about the show.”

Green Drinks at The Green Living Show 2011 was sponsored by Green Living Network. 400+ people attended this event, attendees were entertained with an Eco Fashion Show and a Live Band.

Visitor, Rachael Higgins: “We cannot wait for the next one. It is time for a show like this in New Zealand. I got a flyer in my letter box and I was stunned and I never thought about organics before and I made a quick decision to visit the show and to learn about organics and eco build for my family and home. What an amazing show.”

Visitor, Dr. Tamara Hume: “If you value your health and the world we live in then the The Green Living Show and Organic Expo is an absolute must see! The quality of exhibitors was fantastic and the seminars were inspiring and empowering and I came away with easy to implement tips to fit into a busy lifestyle. I can’t wait for next year.”

Targeted marketing brought buyers from all round New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Israel, Australia, Taiwan, Canada, China and Russia to the show. They wanted more organic products. Buyers loved New Zealand as a destination with its clean green image to source their organic products. Andrew Phua, a buyer from Singapore said “We want more organic products from New Zealand and Australia at the New Zealand Show; this is an Asia and Pacific Show.”

Organiser Tina Raines said, “we were surprised at the number of buyers and their interest. We did advertise overseas and when they replied, we wrote to many to say that it was the first show but they still came. We will have to get lots of organic exhibitors for them in 2012. They want quality products from New Zealand and Australia.”

Exhibitor, Eion Scott: “Auckland Council’s eco design advice service generated more than 80 leads at its booth at The Green Living Show and dealt with numerous enquiries over the course of the two days. The EDAS were impressed with visitors, including Mayor Len Brown and MP David Clendon, and enjoyed lively question sessions following lectures on passive design for homes. This show was widely anticipated, filling a niche for information on sustainable buildings and organic products. We hope it will become a regular feature on the exhibition calendar and assist in the transformation to a green economy.”

Exhibitor Kiwi Organics, Mike and Bridget Parker & the KO Team: “As New Zealand’s only certified organic and gluten free producer of maize, buckwheat, popcorn and rice flour; Kiwi Organics found The Green Living Show & NZ Organic Expo to be an invaluable marketing tool to further develop our business and engage with both consumers and businesses. We also received a lot of interest in our organic, USDA NOP beef and lamb industry. We developed and strengthened relationships with both national and international clients, whilst being involved in an expo which promotes a developing and exciting industry. Situated in the rural east coast, Kiwi Organics welcomed the opportunity for an expo based in Auckland which aims to educate and engage exporters, importers, processors and consumers with producers. Congratulations for a successful and professional inaugural expo. Kiwi Organics will almost certainly be attending future events and encouraging the NZ wider community to support it in every way. Well done.”

Freddy Chur, owner and fashion designer of Freddy Chur Fashions: “Thank you for a great Green Living Show & Organic Expo!! Well done guys!! I hope you are happy with how it went to. Thank you so much for making the Fashion Show possible!! I am already looking forward to next year’s show.”

The dedication, enthusiasm and amazing networking, skills of the team coordinating this event will always ensure that it is an event worth attending for both exhibitors and visitors.”
